Who is Jim Pettis?
A Sacramento River native like the fish that he guides you to, Jim Pettis has lived near Redding, California along the Sacramento River his whole life. As a young man he spent countless hours observing, pondering, meandering and fishing from the rivers banks.

A naturalist who has not only caught, but has observed the habits and migratory patterns of the fish so that today he is very vigilant in practicing catch-and-release to maintain the native fish population
